As the title above, I had been reading a lot of individual blogs criticizing that taking taxi from KL airport to KL are much more expensive than a night stay in a decent hotel. I'm not a regular traveler but from my understanding, from KL airport to KL central should be roughly RM80, and most people would prefer taxi to use meter but that is totally wrong. For my case, we were in KLCC and wanted to take taxi to Medeka Stadium which would probably cost RM20, since there was a taxi counter located on the main entrance so without thinking twice my friend bought the premier taxi couple. The moment were stepped into the taxi we had already been charged for RM6 as upfront fees which got us really pissed off but at last we didn't bother, on the journey we started to realize the meter was uncommonly running rapidly fast where 5 minutes from the route had already cost us RM10, there was nothing much we can do until we reached the destination. The price of the journey was RM58, ridiculously I felt like argue with him but thinking far ahead, we had only one hour left to head for Jolin's concert, due to time constraint we just had to ignore him and move on. He told us that if a concert is launched, there may be roadblocks within the vicinity as for our convenient he dropped us on the way, since the walking distance wasn't a problem so we proceed. Worst thing is, by the time we reached the place it wasn't the destination we requested, never mind we stayed calm and took another taxi.
The next day I met another friendly taxi driver who spared me little advices on how to deal with this kind of situation. He told me, "most taxi scammers in KL are Indians, you have to take extra awareness when it comes to Indian. If you took taxi that used meter then you should keep your eyes open on the meter whether it is running extremely normal or not, and also make sure the taxi driver is not driving you around in circles. It's advisable not to use meter cause you can always bargain for the price of destination before you step into the taxi". What if I have been scammed and I don't want to pay anything on the spot? You guys will end up a fight and who is the last man standing, win. But ended up a fight does it worth?" For me yes, I would wanna see how bad the one who get me punched on his face. Based on my experience, to make thing easy without having a fight, just tell the taxi driver to meet you Taxi center(where complaints are made), and capture picture/video for the meter accordingly on the spot if possible. What if the taxi center doesn't take any appropriate action? Simple, head to DAP office and see what they can do for you. Anyway, in conclusion, FUCK YOU KL INDIAN TAXI DRIVERS, scamming doesn't reflect very well on your upbringing. I hope you would feel sorry for your own conscience when it comes to scamming peoples' hard earned money.

This is true. What the latter taxi driver told you about the scamming drivers is also true. Next time I am going to record down the video of every meter in the taxis who bring me.
Next time just straight away ask the price of destination, never ever use meter, otherwise you will be deceived by the taxi driver, driving you around in circle, or in worst case, they install fake meter which is 10 times more expensive than the actual one.
